PHYSICAL EDUCATION
The school has excellent provision for Physical Education with a large well equipped hall, a playing field and hard surface playing area. Children experience a balance between individual games skills, team games, athletics, swimming, outdoor adventure activities, gymnastics, dance and movement. Children are encouraged to value each other as team mates and to respect other competitors in lessons and in out of school competition.
Children in Years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to play sport in local school leagues and inter school competitions. Team values and fair play are as important as individual ability in the selection of individuals to represent the school. The school enjoys a great deal of success in sports, currently holding the Girls individual and team Cross Country titles for Lincoln, reaching the finals of the Year 6 County Cricket Competition, winning the year 5 county Cricket Championships in 2006, and winning both individual and team events in the Primary School curtain raiser for the Lincoln 10K for the fist three years they were held (2004 – 2006) and also beaten semi finalists in the Lincoln and Area Football knock-out competition.

Children not having a change of clothing for PE will not be allowed to take part for health and safety and hygiene reasons. A note will be sent home with the child explaining the reason for non-participation. Your co-operation in ensuring that children have appropriate kit at the right time will be greatly appreciated.
