RAF Coningsby

Year 5 have been fortunate enough to have another visit to an RAF camp with the opportunity to get up close to planes used during World War Two. "It has been an amazing topic to study. I have learnt so much and can't believe I've seen a hurricaine and spitfire up close. Even going underneath a Lancaster was amazing." said John.

"I've learnt that for a Lancaster bomber to fly to Germany and back, it would cost £1500 for a tank of petrol. It's incredible!" stated Izzy. Year 5 will be visiting Scampton as well after half term, it the base that was used to launch planes in the Dambuster raid.
