Dig, dig, dig!!!

The archaeology club is back! After a few weeks off because of the weather, Miss Booth was anxious to get on. To her surprise, soon after starting, a group found a muddy piece bone! This time they knew it was a bone because of its size and appearance.

As well as the bone, other things they found were glass, stone, snails and slugs. Miss Booth also showed the children how to use the level; a device used to record how far they have dug into the top soil.

Next week the group are moving on to sieving the soil to find any small finds that might have been missed during the digging stage.
