New Term New Energy

We're just delighted to be back in school for the new term with lots of exciting plans brewing including:

Archaeological dig sessions—we are really looking forward to joining Nettleham Heritage’s dig on the Bishop’s Palace site in Nettleham. The dig runs until 15th September—please do join them.

Fun Sports Day/ Coffee Afternoon  - Fun Sports is planned for the afternoon of Wednesday 14th September from 1.30pm. The intention of this event is that our new children are able to mix in a structured and enjoyable way with the other members of the school community. All parents and friends are more than welcome to come and watch. We will be combining this event with a Macmillan fundraising event with cakes and coffee in the hall during and after school.

Meet the Teacher Events    It is really important for you to get to know all of the staff who will be working with your children this year as soon as possible. With this in mind we have organized the following meet the teacher events—all begin at 3.45pm and should last for approximately 45 minutes.

Year 3 – Tuesday 13th September

Year 4 –  Wednesday 21st September

Year 5 – Tuesday 20th September

Year 6—Thursday 15th September

iSing Pop Once more school will be hosting a wonderful iSing Pop Project in the week beginning 19th September. During this time the children will be learning songs, recording the songs for CD and digital sale and performing on the evening of Thursday 22nd September in All Saints Church. More information soon but do put the date in your diary—it will be an amazing event.

Support your child (and yourself) with all things technological  Exciting and engaging expert Andy Dickenson will be joining us on the evening of 27th September from 5pm to provide ideas and advice about supporting your child at home through technology and making sure that children stay safe online. A session not to be missed.

Sonophilia Festival We are delighted to be a partner organisation with the Sonophilia Festival of Sound and Music this year. Our year 6 children will be working with world renowned composer Duncan Chapman culminating in a performance at Lincoln Drill Hall on Friday 7th October alongside, among others, Coldcut. Also families will have opportunity to take part in the Big Ran Tan on 30th September—more on this soon.
