Adding new pages or subject.
This is slightly more complicated than changing the text in an existing page as you have to create new pages and the links to them, without the links the pages are not accessible.
Open MS Frontpage then open the school site master, you can work on the site live but I recommend that we keep a copy on one of the school machines. It can be difficult to open a site, you need to be sure that you are trying to open the site, not a file in the site. Go to the folder holding the site, probably 'My Websites', highlight 'School site' folder (the folder is the folder icon with a globe on it) then click 'Open'. (if it will not highlight, click on the school site folder it will open to show the site files, do not try to open a file, using the icons at the top of the 'Open' dialogue box go back or up one level and then if you hover over 'School site' it will highlight, then click 'Open'.
The screen should look like this.

There are a number of different ways of creating new pages, the easiest is to click on the 'New page' icon (first icon second row down from the top of the screen). This opens a new page in the main working area. You may find it useful to start work on the page before naming and saving it, however when you are happy with the way the page is building you should name and save it by clicking on 'File-Save as' a dialogue box opens.

If the new page is part of a subject that has a folder, save the page in that folder. More on folders here . Enter the file name, note web pages do not like capitals nor spaces in page, file or image names, if a space would be appropriate use an underscore ( _ ). An additional entry is required to add the name that will appear as its title at the very top of the browser window and on some Frontpage pages, it isn't used as a locator by the web so it can use capitals and spaces. Look just above the 'File name' box and click on 'Change title' enter a suitable name. Click 'Save'. If before you save the page however the page building does not go well and you need to start again, make sure the page is open in the working area, then at the RH end of row where the page tabs appear, just above the main working area there is a small X click on that and when asked 'Do you want to save the page' say No. I f you need to delete the page having saved it highlight it in the 'Folder list' on the LH side and delete.
When you are happy that the page is ready for viewing the links need to be added. If the new page is a new subject the link will need to be put on the 'Index' page menu, if it is a new subject but is covered by the subject title on the 'Index' page the link will need to go on the second level menu, the procedure to add the link is the same.
Open the appropriate menu page, if there is a spare cell in the table you can enter the link there if there isn't a spare cell you will have to create one using the 'Table' menu on the 'Tool bar'. For more on Tables see here. If working on the second level menu type the name of the new subject in the table cell then click in the cell next to it, then go to 'Insert-Interactive button. If working on the 'Index page' click in the empty cell then go to 'Insert-Interactive button'. A dialogue box opens.

You now have to select the button style, the text that you want to appear on the button, the page that you want the button to open and finally the size and type of image you want the button to be and were to save it. In the 'Buttons' box of the dialogue box, scroll down to and click on 'Embossed Capsule 1' which is the style used. Next click in the 'Text' box where it says 'Button text' and enter the text you want to appear on the button, on the 'Index' page it would be the subject title, on a second level menu it would be 'Press'. The 'Link' entry is the file name of the page you require to open, the easiest way to enter that is to click on 'Browse' this will open a open a dialogue box to allow you to click on the page required. Having entered the link click on the 'Image' tab at the top of the button dialogue box and you can set the image properties.

Screen Print 9
Remove the tick from 'Maintain proportions', set the button width to fit the Text, and click in the button 'Make the button a GIF.. This will allow the background on the page to show through. Click OK. This may open a dialogue box to save the image of the button, if the page is in a discrete folder save into that folder, if not save in the site 'Images' folder. To check that the link works you must now save the page that you have just put the button on to record the fact that there is now a button there, just click the 'Save' icon. (If you have not already saved the button, you will be prompted to save it now, as above) Press F12 and click on the button you have just created, it should take you to the new page you have created.
If the wrong page opens you have the wrong page name in the 'Link' box, if the button is shown as a box without image of a button the button image has not been saved. Close the browser page, in FP highlight the new button and right click on 'Button properties', this will open the button dialogue box to allow you to make corrections. When it looks OK in the browser it can be uploaded to Netlinc. See Here for how to upload, do not forget to upload the button image from whichever folder you saved it in or you will get the button as a box without the image of the button, it will work but does not look right.
