December News 2023

Let's Celebrate Together

As we look towards the end of term, school is buzzing with activity!

Our school PTA Christmas Fayre is next Friday 8th December between 5pm and 7pm. We look forward to seeing everyone there for a great evening of stalls, games and fun. We will be drawing our Christmas raffle at around 6.30pm, so get your raffle tickets back to us as soon as possible.

We are really looking forward to a new addition to our Christmas at school - Tuesday 12th December sees our first Community Carol Service. We would love it if you could join us at 6pm for a lovely service of traditional carols and readings. Book your tickets here.

We are also looking forward to our Year 3 pupils bringing some traditional Christmas cheer with their Pantomime, A Hint of Snow White, on Monday 18th December at 6pm. Book your tickets here.

We have further performances coming up, including our school Year 5 and 6 choir performing at Lincoln Cathedral for the Lincolnshire Police Carol Service on the evening of 14th December and our Year 6s when they entertain Nettleham’s Buddies Dementia Café on Tuesday 19th December.

Children’s Christmas Party Day is on Wednesday 13th December. You will soon be receiving a note with regard to party food that needs to be provided by each child. Children can come to school in their ‘party’ clothes on that day, packed lunches are not needed for party day and there will be no hot school meals as we have a ‘shared’ lunch from contributions. If any of you have already paid for a meal on this day, you will receive a refund for this. This will also be our Christmas Jumper Day this year, if the children would like to wear them.

It would be lovely if you could visit Nettleham All Saints Church through the Christmas period for one of their services or simply to look at the tree which will be decorated by our Year 6 children as part of our simple Christmon Service in church at 11am on Friday 15th December.

Finally, a massive thank you so much to everyone who has donated such wonderful prizes for the Christmas Fayre. We would also like to thank you so much for your support with many charity events over the past month, including Children in Need and a range of collections for those less fortunate than ourselves.

Please note that school closes at 3pm on Wednesday 20th December and reopens for the New Year on Wednesday 3rd January 2023.
