Could it be the time to finally say winter is over? The weather keeps threatening to improve, and we look forward to a lovely, healthy summer term with lots of time spent outside.

It’s an interesting and exciting end to the term for us with a big focus on Easter. Rev. Michelle Webb from Nettleham All Saints joins us for collective worship on Monday, Rev. Richard Mottershead from Nettleham Methodists leads collective worship on Tuesday, our decorated egg competition is also on Tuesday, Rhubarb Theatre are performing in school joined by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust on Wednesday and our Easter Service in church takes place on Thursday.

We’ve got lots of exciting events planned for the Summer Term – including our new, School Council-led Movie nights on April 19th and April 26th – full details on the attached flyer.

Attached is an updated list of dates for the coming term and the following school year.

Also please note that school will close for the Easter Break at 3.00 p.m. on Thursday March 28th (Infants close at 2.50 p.m.).

Please note that Wrap Around Club will be running from 3pm on this day and that after school football club will run from 3pm-4pm.

We return for the Summer Term on Tuesday 16th April 2024.

 

Considerate and careful parking

We would also ask that you don’t block or use the school carpark at the beginning and the end of the day – this include using the car park as a pedestrian short cut into school.

Please do not park on the zigzag lines outside school as this is dangerous for the children as they leave school and makes crossing the road very difficult indeed.

Start of the School Day & Absences

I would like to remind you that the school day begins at 8.55am and that all children need to be on the school site at that time, but no earlier than 8.45am.  Also, if your child is unable to attend school for any reason it important that you contact school on the first morning of his/her absence.

Uniform guidelines and pre-loved uniform

We look forward to seeing all children in full, smart uniform after the Easter break.

We do have quite a large amount of quality ‘pre-loved’ uniform, which is an easy and low-cost way to make sure that your child has the correct uniform. Just contact the school office for more information.

SATs

Our Year 6 children are about to embark on one of the more arduous periods of their life with us as they look toward their SATs – Monday 13th May to Thursday 16th May. It is always important that the children are well rested and in school on time; but essential that this is the case during these assessments. We are only too happy to discuss assessment with you and very keen to ensure that they are used to plan the next steps in the children are learning.
