End of Term News...End of School Year News

What a Summer Term!

Tuesday 22nd July sees the end of what has been another wonderful and productive year at Nettleham Church of England Aided Junior School. We end our term after a lovely, warm and sunny summer with an amazing group of children filling the school with zeal, imagination and glee.

Over the past term, our pupils have gained a great deal from some wonderul curriculum enrichment activities, including trips to the Energy from Waste Centre, Lincoln’s Zoo at Woodside, a superb residential week at Kingswood Norfolk and Lincoln Cathedral amongst others. Further enrichment activities included sports activities, swimming, visits from secondary school teachers, visits to secondary schools, the significant development of growing environments around school, an Indian Experience Day for Y3, Online Safety Workshops, the most incredible performances of Joseph at Lincoln Cathedral from our school choir, our Talent Show winners performing at Nettleham Carnival and ongoing coaching in a range of sports.

The school Summer Fayre was very successful, raising over £2,200 and it was fabulous to see the sheer flair and enthusiasm of our year 6 pupils who came up with an ingenious and amusing set of stalls.

Sports Day saw such amazing effort, mutual support and sporting attitudes all round. There have been so many triumphs, so many challenges overcome and so many enormous leaps forward this year for our children – seeing this makes our job in school an honour.

Au revoir

Saying goodbye to our Year 6 pupils never gets any easier – they are a delightful, considerate, innovative group of children and we are privileged to have been part of their education. We look forward to hearing great things from them in the future.

On Tuesday 22nd July Please note that school closes half an hour early at 3pm.

Opening on Thursday 4th September – gates open at 8:45am and school begins again at 8.55am.

Wishing you a lovely summer break.
