Summer News 2026

May is just Magic!

It has been another wonderfully busy and exciting term here at school, and we are delighted to share some of the highlights with you.

Year 6 SATs Week

We would like to say how incredibly proud we are of our Year 6 pupils and the way they have approached their SATs this week. They have shown determination, resilience, and a fantastic attitude throughout. Their calm and focused approach has been superb, and we are sure they have done their very best. Well done, Year 6—we are very proud of you all!

Sporting Success

Our school football team continues to go from strength to strength. We are thrilled to share that they have extended their unbeaten run with an exciting 3–2 victory over Welton St Mary’s on Thursday 14th May. The team demonstrated excellent teamwork, skill and a really positive attitude towards their opposition throughout the match. Congratulations to all involved!

A Busy and Exciting Time in School

There is a real buzz around school at the moment, with so many fantastic opportunities for our pupils to enjoy. Recent activities include:

  • Engaging Shakespeare workshops
  • Energetic Power Up PE Days
  • Important and insightful Deaf Awareness sessions
  • Competitive and fun Sports Hall Athletics
  • Creative and inspiring Dragon Poetry Days

These experiences enrich our curriculum and provide pupils with memorable opportunities to develop new skills and interests. The Echo Theatre Company have delivered a wonderful Shakespeare workshop today which the Year 4 children have thoroughly enjoyed. This workshop was discounted to a very competitive price.

Summer Fayre

We are very much looking forward to our Summer Fayre, which will take place on Friday 5th June at 5:00pm, the first Friday back after half term.

There will be a wide range of stalls and activities for everyone to enjoy, including some wonderfully inventive and creative stalls run by our Year 6 pupils. We hope to see as many of you there as possible for what promises to be a fantastic community event.

Raffle and Non-Uniform Day

Raffle tickets will be sent home over the next few days, and we would be very grateful for your support in selling them.

To help us create some fantastic raffle prizes, we will be holding a non-uniform day on Friday 22nd May. In exchange, we kindly ask for donations that can be used as raffle prizes. These can include:

  • Individual prizes
  • Items for hampers such as wine, chocolate, toiletries, or similar items

Thank you in advance for your generosity—it really does make a difference.

Thank You

As always, thank you for your continued support. It is wonderful to see our school community thriving, and we are proud of everything that the pupils are experiencing and achieving.
