Attendance is vitally important and we do everything that we can to ensure that children miss as little of their education as possible.

All parents wishing to request a period of absence for their child must do so in writing to the Headteacher.

This should clarify the following:

• The nature of the request.
• Why this absence cannot be taken at any other time (why this is an 'exceptional circumstance').
• How many days of school will be missed.
• The dates of which the absence will begin and conclude.
