Autumn news - harvest and fun sports

What a great start to the new school year

What an amazing start to the term it has been. The children are really excelling themselves and making the very most of every opportunity. As a staff team, we are thrilled with how positive things are in school and we look forward to some really exciting events over the next few weeks, including the start of before and after school clubs.

It was so good to see so many of you at our Meet the Teacher events this week and we hope that you found the meetings useful. For those who were unable to make the meetings, the information has been/ is in the process of being sent to all families.

Harvest Festival

Our Harvest Festival is planned for the afternoon of Friday 18th September at 2.00pm at All Saints Nettleham. This will be our first opportunity to celebrate as a whole school community and all are welcome.

We welcome contributions of harvest produce, indeed it is an extremely important time of year to allow us to both give thanks and raise our own awareness of the needs of others.

We would, as is our tradition, encourage you to spend some time decorating a box with the children to hold your contributions. It really does brighten up the church and I know that it gives a real lift to the charities who receive the produce. Please send your produce into school with the children on Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th and Friday 18th of September.

Fun Sports Afternoon

Fun Sports is planned for the afternoon of Wednesday 23rd September from 1.30pm.

We love this event, where our new children work together with children from all other year groups in a structured and enjoyable way bringing the whole school community together. All parents and friends are more than welcome to come. We hope to see you there.
